Circular economy crucial to Paris Agreement goals

According to a research paper published by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, applying circular economy strategies in just five key areas (cement, aluminum, steel, plastics, and food) can eliminate CO2e emissions by 45 per cent (9.3 billion metric tons) from the production of goods by 2050 – equivalent to cutting current emissions from all transport to zero. Here’s how the circular economy can provide a clear framework to help achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.
