Converting plastics into PPE in Nigeria

Even during a global pandemic, innovators are finding new ways to divert waste from landfills that also protect the public from COVID-19. Givo (Garbage In, Value Out) is a start-up in Nigeria that has been recycling plastic waste from homes and businesses to create personal protection equipment (PPE). Not only are they recycling waste, but they are also bringing the community together to train, engage and manufacture items like face shields, children’s toys, and vases.
