Could the Tokyo Olympic Games help usher in a fully circular economy?

Olympic Rings in Japan

The organizers of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games seek to maximize resource reuse and minimize waste to promote and showcase a circular economy for their 14 million residents at this year’s Games. Their initiatives range from podiums made from recycled domestic plastic, reusing existing buildings and venues to minimize construction, and hiring equipment that can be returned and reused. Learn more about how they are showcasing the future, today.
