Diverting automotive plastic waste
Reclaim Plastics, a Canadian company is working with businesses and municipalities to process plastic waste from the automotive industry. Cars can contain up to 500 pounds of plastic, which can be separated into five distinct plastic types. Reclaim Plastics sources the car parts from various autobody and collision repair shops where they separate and decontaminate the plastic. The processed plastic is grouped for further processing and can be made into planters, piping and plastic pallets. Learn more about their process and plans to increase their operations.
