Italian architect firm, valentino gareri atelier, has designed a modular and sustainable village in Ecuador using local materials such as bamboo, timber and 3D printed cacao waste. The village will operate as a cacao processing facility with an educational and research center connected to the local community. It will also be a globally-connected hub for circular economy innovators in the cacao industry to spur innovation and generate social impact together.  Read how the modular design draws from local tradition and how the space can be extended, replicated, and adapted to different needs as the village grows.
