French program encourages repairing damaged clothes
France’s Ministry of Ecology has joined up with a private French organization called Refashion to reimburse people who decide to mend rather than discard clothes and shoes. Those who participate are paid between €6 and €25 to cover the mending costs of fixing clothes that are damaged to the point of becoming unusable.
