Home-based business transforms plastic waste into new products
An Edmonton-based business is working with local companies to repurpose plastic waste destined for landfills. Over a 3-week pilot project with the city of Beaumont, the business gathered 124 kilograms of plastic from 66 households, and used the collected data to estimate the amount of plastic waste generated each year by 18,000 residents.
