How a Montreal initiative to recycle bricks could reduce greenhouse gas emissions
In Quebec, used bricks that are undamaged usually make their way to landfills because they’re too hard to clean. However, the Brique-Recyc machine uses adjustable lasers to clean off the old mortar from used bricks while still keeping them intact for reuse. It even saves the mortar to be reused in cement and other construction materials. Using this machine cuts down on the labour of cleaning the bricks, reduces costs, waste, and lowers carbon dioxide emissions. Learn more about the Brique-Recyc machine.
