Gaviña Coffee Company has announced that its Coffee Bag and Pod Free Recycling Program, in partnership with global recycling firm TerraCycle, has recycled more than two million used coffee bags, single-serve coffee pods and espresso capsules, ahead of Earth Day. The recycled material can be used to create 396 park benches, while the stack of coffee items would be as tall as 226 Empire State Buildings. The program, which launched in 2020, is open to anyone and has given consumers a free and easy way to recycle used coffee pods and capsules. Learn more.
