Iceland opens its first self-checkout tool library

Residents of Kópavogur in Iceland can borrow tools and equipment at the local library through their Hringrásarsafn initiative, based on a circular economy approach to consumption. For a biannual or annual feel, patrons can rent items from wire strippers to car battery chargers, to digital projectors. By sharing everything with the community, it helps save resources, raw materials, space, and money while also making things more accessible. Read more.
