Flipkart Group, an e-commerce company, has successfully diverted around 3000 tonnes of non-hazardous solid waste from landfills in India within one year, achieving TRUE Gold certification for zero waste efforts at four facilities. TRUE-certified projects must divert at least 90% of waste from landfills, incineration, and the environment. The certified facilities, covering 1.8 million sq ft, surpassed this requirement with over 97% waste diversion. The company’s sustainability efforts, including transitioning to 100% paper-based packaging and other green practices, contribute to a larger vision for sustainable operations.
