Korea’s new reverse recycling scheme targets cosmetic packaging
The South Korean Ministry of Environment, Korea Cosmetic Association and Korea Packaging Recycling Cooperative have launched a program that aims to recycle 10% of Korea’s cosmetic packaging by 2025. The “reverse recycling” program would require consumers to return empty cosmetic containers to distribution channels, and allow participating companies to label their products differently.
