Lululemon launches plan to ‘infinitely recycle’ nylon and polyester

Lululemon has partnered with Samsara, an Australian tech startup, to scale up its textile recycling of nylon and polyester apparel waste. Samsara’s technology allows them to create new plastics without the use of fossil fuels by using enzymes to attack polymers and revert them back to their original simple monomers. Lululemon intends to be fully circular by 2030, having already debuted a plant-based nylon fabric last month. Read more about Lululemon’s textile recycling.
