Making the solar industry more circular

While solar is often cited as a clean energy source that can combat climate change, the photovoltaic (PV) cells contained in solar panels can be difficult to recycle. The growing popularity of the solar industry could lead to an increased amount of PV waste ending up in landfills. Given that PV cells contain valuable materials such as silicon, metal and glass, finding ways to redesign and recover solar panels would have both an environmental and economic benefit. Read more here.
