Malta is turning their agricultural waste into free compost for farmers

The Malta Food Agency, in partnership with a local waste management company, will process agricultural waste, such as vegetable and fruit scraps and tree trimmings, into compost. The process will see roughly 15 tonnes of waste transformed into eight tonnes of compost every two weeks, which will then be distributed to farmers free of charge. Read more.
