Miami-based marine plastics upcycling company collects almost 10,000 pounds of debris to be recycled

Miami-based marine plastics upcycling company, SeaSweepers LLC, has completed a research mission to the Bahamas focused on marine plastics recycling. Partnering with local organizations like OceanAid360 and Harbour Island Green School, they conducted a cleanup removing nearly 10,000 pounds of debris to be recycled. The researchers assessed plastic pollution levels, particularly on Harbour Island and remote atolls, and collaborated with over 20 Bahamian organizations.
