New futuristic packaging to have the ability to self-heal when damaged
DS Smith, a sustainable fibre-based packaging provider, has released the blueprint for a self-healing box. The packaging has a webbed nerve system that borrows from the composition of leaves and has “scar tissue” to heal itself, similar to the human body, so it can be reused to extend its life.
