New recycling facility and app to process scrap steel and iron in India

melting metal

Tata Steel has commissioned its first recycling facility that will shred and process end-of-life vehicles, old household items, and industrial scrap iron and steel. By recycling the metals, they lower carbon emissions and resource consumption while the integrity of the metals is not compromised. Tata Steel is working together with FerroHaat, a company that has a mobile application to help source steel from scrap traders to boost collection and recycling targets. The recycled metals will have lower contamination rates, no radioactivity and come with test certificates. Learn more.
