New sorting technology helps glass recycling plant process 200,000 tons of glass every year
REDWAVE technology has been integrated into Australia’s most advanced glass recycling facility, capable of processing 200,000 tons of recycled glass annually. Developed through a collaboration between REDWAVE and Visy, a leading glass recycling and manufacturing company, the facility marks a significant advancement in glass recycling technology. Equipped with state-of-the-art sorting technology, the facility aims to close the loop for glass recycling in Victoria. The plant uses sensor technology to meticulously sort glass into different colors and sizes, optimizing the supply of clear, amber, and green glass for future production.
