Over 1 million pounds of fishing nets and lines collected for recycling
Net Your Problem is a company based in Seattle that has formed partnerships with multiple Alaskan cities to facilitate the collection and transportation of fishing gear for recycling. The company also works with local First Nation communities to sort gear that has been dumped in the landfills and undertake educational outreach to boat owners to encourage recycling. Net Your Problem, together with similar collection companies, has collected and sorted over 1 million pounds of fishing gear that can be remade into plastic pellets and fibres.
