Parent company of Zara to replace virgin fibres in their clothes with Circulose
Inditex, the parent company of Zara, has announced that its suppliers will purchase 2,000 metric tons of Circulose, a raw material made from cotton textile waste, from the Swedish company Renewcell. Circulose is created through the chemical recycling of cotton waste and is used to produce textiles, offering a sustainable alternative to virgin fibers. Inditex is seeking to reduce waste and increase its use of recycled fabrics, aiming to source 25% of its fibers from “next generation” materials by 2030.
