Project diverting construction materials out of landfills gets funding boost
The AET Group and The Better Bin Company are launching a pilot program later this year to separate construction materials at building sites to increase material recycling rates. The project was initiated after research identified the sources and impact of construction waste on the environment, and why construction, renovation and demolition materials have landed in the landfill or been recycled. Now, insurance provider The Co-operators is giving $350,000 to help with the project. Learn more.
