Recycled glass to be used in rebuilding Interstate 95

To quickly mend and reopen a critical section of Pennsylvania’s Interstate 95 that has collapsed, the damaged area will be filled with 2,000 tons of recycled glass foam nuggets, and then paved over. A company called AeroAggregates of North America is providing lightweight glass nuggets for the rebuild, which are repurposed from bottles and jars that have been diverted from landfills.
