Recycling textile waste in Australia
BlockTexx, an Australian start-up has developed a process to divert textiles from the landfill by recycling them into their base raw materials to be reused. Unfortunately, many of our clothes today are made with hybrid fabrics, a blend of synthetic and natural fibres, making them very difficult to recycle. However, Blocktexx is currently building a commercial-scale plant to use its separation of fabric technology to break down these hybrid fabrics to their fundamental components. Read more about their plans to scale their plant around the world.
