Refillable wine bottle program underway in New York
Good Goods and Gotham Project are two companies in New York incentivizing consumers to reuse their wine bottles through their new bottle reuse program. Both companies use wine bottles that look like ones you would see in the store but are designed to be reused between 10 and 30 times. All bottles are equipped with QR codes to organize the database of customers, products, return rates, and data to predict when bottles require cleaning. Customers choose their wine and return the empty refillable bottle for a credit that can be used towards future purchases. Read about other sustainable initiatives these companies plan on offering to limit single-use options.
