Repurposing CO2 emissions into personal care products

Clean02, a Canadian-based personal care product company is capturing carbon emissions from commercial buildings and repurposing them into cleaning and other personal care products. They use a chemical process to convert the CO2 captured from heating system exhausts into a stable carbonate used in their soaps and detergents. This chemical process also generates some of its own heat that can be redirected back into the building to heat water. The soaps are handmade by local soap makers and are biodegradable, making them safe for our water supply. Read about how the company works with local contractors and businesses to source CO2 and produce local environmentally friendly products.
