Starbucks Japan has already started implementing four initiatives to reduce plastic waste across its stores. Their initiatives include: replacing disposable cups with glasses when it comes to iced beverages enjoyed in their stores; replacing disposable cups with rent-a-tumbler options for hot drinks; lid-free drinks for cold drinks and replacing single-use plastic cutlery with environmentally-friendly utensils.
