The impact of sustainable date palm production
A single date palm tree generates an average of 23 kilos of waste per year. However, cultivating and preserving date palm fibre can lead to sustainable business, profit and jobs across the world. Since 90 percent of date palm production takes place in the Middle East and North Africa, this circular transition can bring both wealth and investment to the region and, most importantly, to lower-income countries.
