The U.K launches the Right to Repair legislation

The British government has launched a “Right to Repair” legislation that gives consumers the ability to repair their own electronic devices easily. Manufacturers will now be legally obliged to have spare parts available, which incentivizes maintaining devices rather than replacing them when they break. Furthermore, it diverts the tonnes of electrical waste generated each year from being dumped in the landfill. Learn more.
