UN’s Basel Convention agrees to control additional plastic exports
The Basel Convention agreed to include mixed, unrecyclable and contaminated plastic into a regulation that requires the consent of importing countries before importing the plastic waste. The move will hold developed countries more accountable for their plastic waste. Read about the agreement.
