US plant to produce electric vehicle metals out of old batteries

Nth Cycle, a recycling startup, is opening a plant in Ohio that will extract crucial materials out of dead lithium-ion batteries while producing fewer emissions than other plants. The new plant will produce a mix of nickel and cobalt, which are key ingredients in electric vehicle and smartphone batteries. Read more about reusing spent batteries.
