Using AI to take the guesswork out of recycling
Often people put items in the recycling bin that cannot be recycled, which leads to contamination. Recycle Mate is an app developed by an Australian company to help take the confusion out of sorting recycling. Users take a picture of the item, and the app uses artificial intelligence to identify and categorize the item as recyclable or trash. As users continue to use the app, it adds more items to the database to ensure a higher recycling rate. Learn more.
