Walmart to eliminate single-use plastic bags across Canada by early 2022
Walmart Canada has announced they will eliminate plastic shopping bags for in-store shopping along with online grocery pickup and delivery orders. The national expansion follows a pilot program conducted in 10 stores that began in mid-2021, that received overwhelmingly positive feedback. With more than 400 Canadian locations, the company is aiming to make the change by the end of April 2022.
