What’s included in Canada’s single-use plastics ban?
The Canadian government has announced that these items will be included in the proposed single-use plastics ban that will take effect next year:
- Grocery checkout bags
- Straws
- Stir sticks
- Six-pack rings
- Plastic cutlery
- Food takeout containers made from hard-to-recycle plastics (like black plastic packaging)
