Yamaha makes guitars out of upcycled leftover wood from instruments such as pianos and marimbas

Yamaha’s Upcycling Guitar range, which focuses on sustainability by repurposing leftover wood from other instrument lines, has won the Red Dot Design Concept Award for 2024. Launched as part of Yamaha’s eco-friendly initiative, the Upcycling Guitars use scraps from pianos and marimbas to create unique electric guitars.
