York Circular Economy Initiatives Fund supports 6 non-profits to advance a circular economy
York Region’s Circular Economy Initiatives Fund provides funding to non-profit, community-driven, innovative projects that will help reduce residential waste and advance a circular economy. The 2021 recipients have projects that include community-based hubs, repair workshops, removal and repurposing of furniture, a searchable directory for circular businesses, reusable products and packaging to reduce food waste, and educational compost programs for children.
