Australian flooring industry promotes circular economy approach

The Australian Resilient Flooring Association proposed the country’s first national stewardship scheme for resilient flooring, called ResiLoop. Resilient flooring materials include sheet vinyl, linoleum or rubber, vinyl tiles and hybrid tiles, and the goal of the scheme is to recycle at least 1,000 tonnes of flooring waste annually. To date, a group of 40+ stakeholders including manufacturers, distributors and industry associations have endorsed this new scheme. Read more about Australia’s circular economy approach to flooring.
