Haulers (transporters), refurbishers and processors are often referred to as service providers.
- An ITT/AV hauler is a person that arranges the transport of ITT/AV used in Ontario that are destined for processing, reuse, refurbishing or disposal.
- An ITT/AV refurbisher is a person that prepares or refurbishes ITT/AV used in Ontario for the purpose of reuse.
- An ITT/AV processor is a person that processes ITT/AV used in Ontario for the purpose of resource recovery.
Under the EEE Regulation, collection sites are not required to register or report.

Processors | Submit annual Performance Report, which reports on your Recycling Efficiency Rate, and recovery and management activities in 2023. RPRA will not require a Recycling Efficiency Rate Verification Report in 2024. Learn more. | April 30, 2024 |
Wind up of the WEEE Program
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Program was operated by Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) who was responsible for electronics recycling in Ontario on behalf of the electronics industry. The program ended on December 31, 2020, and on January 1, 2021, ITT/AV moved to the individual producer responsibility framework. Learn more.
