European Recycling Platform starts project to recycle 50 percent of Italy’s textile waste by 2035

ERP (European Recycling Platform) has announced the establishment of the ERP Italia Textile Consortium in preparation for the new European directive on proper textile waste recycling. The goal is to achieve 50% recycling of Italy’s textile waste by 2035. The consortium, a non-profit entity, will manage compliance obligations in textile waste management under the Extended Producer Responsibility Principle (EPR) in Italy. ERP Italia Textile Consortium is the first Italian textile waste recycling consortium with a European scope. Read more about the textile recycling project.
